RCBC teams up with remittance centers

-

Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) has partnered with local remittance centers, which will now allow claiming of proceeds done from RCBC online banking to selected partners, aside from RCBC branches and ATMs.

The bank’s remittance partners include MLhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera Padala, Bayad Center, and LBC Payments and Remittance Centers.

Through its improved Send Cash service via remittance centers, clients may now send up to P5,000 per transaction to recipients who are unbanked or don’t have an account with RCBC.

To send money, clients need only to access their account through the RCBC online banking website and fill out the recipient’s information. Once Send Cash transaction is completed, a reference number will be sent to the beneficiary that will be used to claim the money in physical locations such as selected remittance centers or RCBC branches and ATMs.

The Send Cash with remittance feature is available on the RCBC online banking website, while the mobile app version is limited to RCBC branches and ATMs.

Meanwhile, for new clients who would like to open an account in RCBC, the bank has already enabled a quick online account opening feature for accessible financial services.

Through the RCBC website or RCBC Touch Q web portal, customers can apply for individual peso savings or checking accounts which have access to multiple online banking services such as Send Cash.

Applicants need only to provide a valid government-issued ID, their mobile number and email address, and they can already open an account online.
