4 arrested, P16-M shabu con scated in Caloocan
Four suspects were arrested in Tala, Caloocan with P16 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a drug sting on Friday.
Salahudin Abedin, Jamal Mustapha, Asnihaya Disomimba and Misaly Mistapha were caught in an operation in Barangay 188.
Police recovered 2.45 kilos of shabu with a street value of P16.66 million hidden in two packs of Chinese tea, according to Caloocan police chief Col. Dario Menor.
In Navotas, John Francis Ocinar, Mark Gerard Zamora, Mario Lagahit, Randy Oliveron, Roy Acain and Regine Cruz were caught with 210 grams of shabu valued at P1.4 million in a sting in Barangay Northbay Boulevard South on Friday.
Meanwhile, police seized 1.06 kilos of marijuana with a street value of P128,040 from six Indians during a sting in Pasay City on Thursday.
Sumanth Raju, 22; Diju Rengaswamy, 25; Mohammad Yusuf, 22; Angripekula Pavan, 23; Nagendran Gugan, 23; and Sai Dhamodharan, 22, were arrested following the sting at Central Park condominium.
The sting was staged after a concerned citizen told police he saw dried leaves and foil in a package to be delivered to the suspects, police said.
Drug paraphernalia such as bongs, lighters and a manual weighing scale were also seized from the suspects.
Siblings Jannel, 24, and Jerome, 20, both surnamed Flores, were arrested during a sting in Barangay Tumana, Marikina on Friday.
Around 25 grams of shabu valued at P170,000 were seized from the suspects, who are included in the local police’s drug watchlist.
