CHERY Auto PH holds 2nd GRIT Awards for dealers

-

In appreciation for all the efforts exerted by CHERY dealers in putting more and more satisfied customers behind the wheel of CHERY vehicles and in providing excellent after-sales service, CHERY Auto Philippines/ United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the exclusive Philippine distributor of CHERY automobiles, held the CHERY GRIT Awards Dealer Appreciation Night at Solaire Hotel in Pasay City, last February 8.

Just in its second year (the first-ever CHERY GRIT Awards was streamed virtually on Facebook Premiere last year in consideration of health and safety concerns), the CHERY GRIT Awards give acclaim to dealers that demonstrate the four attributes of Guts, Resilience, Initiative, and Tenacity (GRIT).

“The CHERY GRIT Awards gets its name after these four admirable traits. We want the Awards to recognize the true advocates of excellence, achievement, and ultimately, the success of our hardworking dealers,” shared Rommel Sytin, Chairman of CHERY Auto Philippines/UAAGI.

“Our CHERY dealers have consistently displayed the ability to not just overcome, but to thrive, in a highly competitive industry—and one that is still recovering from the economic effects of a global pandemic,” Sytin added.

The CHERY GRIT Awards endow the much-coveted Dealer of the Year Award (DOYA) for Sales and for Service, as well as Individual Awards for Sales and Service for the various CHERY Tiggo models for both NCR and Provincial categories. In all, a total of 23 Awards were given out, up from 16 last year.

“The logo of the CHERY GRIT Awards is a stylized helix, which symbolizes perseverance and resilience—the foundations of true and unshakeable grit,” explained Erroll Dueñas, President of CHERY Auto Philippines.

“On this occasion, CHERY recognizes all the dealers’ efforts towards fulfilling our commitment to providing excellent customer service, including the ability to innovate and adapt to all kinds of situations—especially if one is navigating this current unpredictable and evolving landscape,” Dueñas said.

CHERY Alabang was recognized as the Dealer of the Year for the 2022 GRIT Awards. The award was received by Mark Chiongbian, Dealer Principal of CHERY Alabang. This is also the second time that CHERY Alabang was awarded as the CHERY Dealer of the Year.

Meanwhile, the Service Dealer of the Year Award went to CHERY Quezon Ave. for NCR/ Luzon and CHERY Iloilo for Vis-Min.

The Top Retail Sales Award for NCR and Vis-Min region went to CHERY Pasig and CHERY GenSan, respectively.

The full set of the CHERY GRIT Awards categories and award-winners are as follows:

“We congratulate all our tireless CHERY dealers for their dedication and hard work. We truly appreciate them for consistently providing world-class products and service to our customers,” said Sytin.

“Our dealership network is an invaluable part of our milestones and achievements here in the Philippines. Their sustained efforts and hard work help inspire us at CHERY Auto Philippines to commit to bring CHERY to even greater heights,” added Dueñas.

CHERY’s Philippine operations have grown exceptionally fast, with the network now boasting 23 dealers—and still growing. The growth is unprecedented for a relatively new brand that entered the Philippine market just 3 ½ years ago and in the midst of a pandemic.
