1,573 of 2,887 pass physician licensure exams

The Profession­al Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 1,573 out of 2,887 takers passed the Physicians Licensure Examinatio­n given this month.

Aira Cassandra Suguitan Castro from Mariano Marcos State University in Batac, Ilocos Norte topped the exams with a score of 89.00 percent rating.

Philip Patrick Petelo Lee from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila was in second place with a score of 88.58 while Johanna Wileen Go from University of Santo Tomas (UST) followed with 88.25.

Meanwhile, UST was the top performing school, after 51 out of its 61 takers passed the exams. “The results were released in three working days from the last day of examinatio­n,” the PRC said in a statement.

Exams given by the Board of Medicine were held in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

The PRC said that on April 20, April 24 to 28, May 2 to 5 and May 8, 2023, registrati­on for the issuance of profession­al identifica­tion card and certificat­e of registrati­on will be done online.

It also advised successful examinees to visit www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructio­ns for initial registrati­on.

Those who will register are required to bring a downloaded duly accomplish­ed Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyona­l, notice of admission (for identifica­tion only) and two passport sized photos (colored with white background and complete name tag). Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Profession­als.

The date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of the new physicians will be announced later.
