Korean films offer closer look at women’s lives

The Korean cultural center in the Philippine­s (Kcc) is celebratin­g national Women’s month through Women’s Lives on Film this march.

Kcc, in partnershi­p with Sm cinema and film Developmen­t council of the Philippine­s (fDcP), is screening three iconic Korean women’s films this month.

This specially curated film screening intends to convey the stories of women, of all ages, in our society. The first film Cart (director boo Jiyoung, 2014) was shown last march 17.

The two other films Kim Minyoung of the Report Card (director Lee Jaeeun, Lim Jisun, 2022) and Baseball Girl (director choi yuntae, 2020) will also be shown for free on march 30 and 31 respective­ly, at 7 p.m. on both days at Sm cinema aura Premier.

The award-winning film, Kim Minyoung of the Report Card, talks about friendship and the concerns of young women at the start of adulthood. catch this movie on march 30 at the Regular cinema 2 of Sm cinema aura Premier.

Starring Lee Joo young of several hit K-dramas including Itaewon Class as the main character, Baseball Girl tells the story of a female athlete challengin­g herself to go beyond the limitation­s imposed by those around her. It will be screened on march 31 at the Regular cinema 2, Sm cinema aura Premier.

online reservatio­n will be available for those of you who want to ensure your seats, starting on march 27 until seat availabili­ty lasts. claiming of the actual ticket will be done at 5 p.m. on the screening date of your choice at the cinema lobby, Level 4, Sm aura Premier. If you missed the online reservatio­n, you may still try to get a chance to score a ticket by approachin­g the ticket desk for verificati­on.
