BBM appoints new PEZA director

President Marcos has appointed Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) officer-in-charge Tereso Panga as director-general of the investment promotion agency.

The appointmen­t of Panga and other officials of various agencies was announced by the Presidenti­al Communicat­ions Office (PCO) in a Facebook post yesterday.

Prior to this appointmen­t, Panga was designated as OIC of the agency through Memorandum Circular No. 1 dated June 30, 2022 and Memorandum Circular No. 3 issued on July 27, 2022.

He is PEZA’s lead manager for policy and planning, ecozone developmen­t, digital transforma­tion, special projects and programs, management informatio­n systems, building and environmen­tal code compliance, energy efficiency and other eco-industrial initiative­s.

In his 24 years with the PEZA, Panga has served as division chief of policy planning, zone manager of Lima Technology Center and other economic zones in Batangas, zone administra­tor of the Baguio City and Cavite economic zones and deputy director-general for policy and planning.

Other new appointees in the list released by the PCO were Monina Zenarosa (commission­er of the Commission on Human Rights); Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. (director-general of the Bureau of Correction­s); Willie Ann Angsiy and Dennis Arpia (Department of Agricultur­e directors IV); Wilberto Castillo and Larry Sultan (DA directors III); Eva Arcos (acting member representi­ng the workers’ group of the Social Security Commission); Ralph Joseph Moncatar (informatio­n and communicat­ions technology department director IV); June Vincent Manuel Gaudan (Department of Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology director III); Jimi Rambo Arranchado and Melvyn Carlo Barroa (DICT directors II); Rachel Ann Grabador (DICT director I); Evangeline de Leon, Rowena Otida and Eugene Henry Rodriguez (PCO assistant secretarie­s) and Maria Waywaya Macalma (PCO director III).
