A MONTH OF TRIUMPHS AND TRANSFORMATION

- Rosemarie Bosch-Ong

"Dreams are lovely. But they are dreams. Fleeting, ephemeral, pretty. But dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It's hard work that makes things happen. It's hard work that makes things happen." —Shonda Rhimes

On the journey of hard work and perseverance, it is truly rewarding to see the fruits of labor come to fruition. As someone who believes in turning dreams into reality, each day presents an opportunity to bridge the gap between aspirations and accomplishments.

Each of us has different goals and dreams we wish to achieve in our lifetimes. Whether it’s building a successful career, creating a loving family, or positively impacting the world, our aspirations drive us to take action and bring our dreams to life. That’s why achieving each milestone is a cause for celebration and reflection, as it represents progress toward our largest goals.

In the business context, companies constantly strive to achieve their objectives and reach new levels of success. This January, I saw, as a leader the transition from dream to reality when the first month of 2024 brought Wilcon Depot not just a new year but a plethora of achievements and milestones.

We kicked off the year with impressive back-to-back events – the grand opening of our 91st store and the launch of the first Do It Wilcon in Morong, Rizal, and announcing the winners of My Home Goals 2.0 Anniversary grand raffle draw. These set the tone for a year filled with growth and expansion. Witnessing the excitement and enthusiasm of our customers as they explored our new stores, and experienced the convenience and quality that Do It Wilcon offers was truly heartwarming.

Although there have been challenges along the way, every obstacle has served as a platform for us to make it to this moment. The 91st store represents a physical expansion and a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing quality products and excellent service to every Filipino home.

The DO IT WILCON (DIW) is a new store format following the rebranding of the Wilcon Home Essentials store. It aims to cater to the growing DIY (Doit-yourself) market, providing a one-stop-shop for all home improvement needs.

Wilcon Depot also continues to help Filipino people with their home improvement goals through the My Home Goals 2.0 Anniversary raffle draw. With 25 lucky winners receiving home makeovers worth 400,000 pesos each, we are humbled to play a part in transforming their living spaces and making their dreams of a beautiful and functional home come true.

These two events are a testament to the spirit of unity, dedication, and passion that runs deep within our organization. We are not just a company but a family bound by a common goal – to make every Filipino home a haven of comfort and style. Wilcon believes that true success lies not only in achieving our own goals but also in helping our valued customers achieve theirs.

This is our way of giving back to our valued customers, who have been with the company throughout this journey, contributing to our success and growth. Their loyalty and patronage fuel our motivation to continue providing them with excellent products, services, and experiences.

As this year unfolds, we look forward to continuing our journey of growth and expansion, opening more stores in new locations, and bringing the Wilcon experience to more Filipino households nationwide. * * *
