BANFI WINE-PAIRING DINNER AND ULTIMATE BBQ POOL PARTY AT SOLAIRE

Solaire Resort Entertainm­ent City is holding a Banfi Wine Dinner tonight, Jan. 25, at Finestra. Get a taste of authentic Tuscan cuisine with a six-course dinner paired with Banfi premium blends. Hailing from Italy’s Tuscany region, Banfi prides itself on its rich winemaking heritage. Each glass of wine tells a story of both tradition and innovation, authentici­ty, and elegance.

Finestra’s executive chef Andrea Spagoni curates a premium menu where the rich and traditiona­l flavors of Tuscan cuisine are perfectly paired with Banfi’s indulgent wine varieties to create a dining experience that will bring your senses to new and exciting heights.

Begin the degustatio­n with Panzanella, a Tuscan bread salad comprised of tomato, scallops, and burrata — a perfect pair for a citrusy white blend Chardonnay, like the 2021 Centine Bianco. Course two is Cacciucco, a rich and flavorful seafood stew with pan-fried prawns paired with a fresh and fruity red wine, the 2020 Rosso di Montalcino “Poggio alle Mura.”

Course three is Ribollita, an Italian classic vegetable stew with cannellini beans and slow-cooked Kurobuta pork expertly matched with the 2019 Cum Laude “Super Tuscan,” which has an aroma of dark cherries and a taste of dark fruit, spice, and a hint of oak.

Course four is a ricotta-based Gnudi with pecorino gnocchi, mushrooms, and black winter truffle. This pairs with a good Cabernet Sauvignon like the 2018 Summus, Super Tuscan.

Save space for course five, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, Porterhous­e steak with artichokes and potato. Paired with it is the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino, which has a smooth and well-balanced taste of red fruits, spice, and a hint of vanilla.

End the meal sweetly with Pinolata, a delicious pine-nut cake with saffron ice cream and dark chocolate paired with the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino “Poggio alle Mura,” an intense, elegant, and balanced red wine with a sweet and fruity taste of red berry jam.

Meanwhile, experience the biggest barbecue party and immerse yourself in a global culinary journey as Solaire Entertainm­ent City starts another year of excellence with “Flame the World” from Jan. 26 to 27.

The event takes place at the Pool Bar & Grill from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., where you can savor the most unique internatio­nal barbecue flavors from 11 countries and specialty dishes prepared across 13 stations.

Taste barbecues from Southeast Asia with special mixtures of seasonings and spices of Filipino barbecued meats and seafood with the famous whole grilled pork lechon, Indonesian satay, Malaysian BBQ and a Singaporea­n BBQ blend.

Savor the flavors of East Asian barbecues with the sweet, savory, and spicy Korean BBQ, including the galbi and samgyeopsa­l gui, the traditiona­l kushiyaki of Japan, and Chinese BBQ like char siu and Cantonese roasted duck.

The European barbecues include the robust flavors of German beefsteaks, like Fackelspie­ss mit Brät from Germany, as well as cheese and Cervelat, a traditiona­l Swiss-grilled sausage.

Classic American BBQ features bold flavors and rich, smoky sauces like bourbon barbecue ribs and a Texas-style pulled pork. Get a taste of the Brazilian Churrasco, where succulent meats are grilled to smoky perfection.

Dessert stations include a crepe and donut bar, a chocolate bar where you can roast your own cocoa marshmallo­ws, a fruit and dessert bar, a variety of cakes and tarts, as well as a halo-halo station for the traditiona­l Filipino dessert with shaved ice, sweetened monggo beans, fruits, jellies, ube ice cream, and coconut strips.

Celebrate with the golden hue of the Manila Bay sunset as you indulge in a grilled feast with an unlimited selection of beverages ranging from wines, beers, cocktails, and nonalcohol­ic drinks. Dance to the festive Latin vibe of the Sabor Latino band and party the night away with beats by internatio­nal DJ Inna Gita.
