LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP ‘FORECASTS’ FOR STARS AFTER BREAKUP

- By NATHALIE M. TOMADA

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE

hold for love and relationships, whether you’re a celebrity or just like us regular folks?

Ahead of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) 70th anniversary on March 9, president Dr. Cecilio K. Pedro hosted a “Pandesal Forum” early this week at the 85-year-old Kamuning Bakery Cafe in Quezon City, where the entertainment press got to hear some interesting insights from feng shui consultant and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Jean Yu Chua, whose clientele includes showbiz celebrities.

She was joined by FFCCCII officers Eduardo “Eddy” Cobankiat and “Pandesal Forum” moderator Wilson Lee Flores. In case you don’t know, FFCCCII is the biggest federation of 170 Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce focused on business, economic, socio-civic and philanthropic initiatives.

Chua particularly discussed feng shui forecasts and prospects regarding love, career, money and health for the Chinese New Year of the Wood Dragon. These included some insights on the potential fortunes of various showbiz personalities, including ex-couples Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, plus new love team Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, among others, based on their animal signs.

This 2024, is a new love or reconciliation in the stars for these stars after their shocking breakups?

On Kim, whose breakup with longtime boyfriend Xian Lim became one of the biggest showbiz headlines late last year, Chua said, “In feng shui about relationships, every year nag-tse-change yung vibration, it will depend on the person and who is (she with). Sometimes, nagkakaroon talaga ng sudden decision-making or changes in terms of relationships.

“Last year, 2023, in the relationship aspect of let’s say, she (was born in) the Year of the Horse, her relationship luck was not that strong so it could be that she encountered challenges.”

However, Chua also said, “Actually ‘di naman siya super affected on the part. Because her focus naman is more on her career, how to keep healthy…”

For this year, Chua pointed out that any animal sign, including Kim’s, will “enjoy good relationship luck” due to the so-called “peach blossom star.” But she’s referring to opportunities of “friendship and networking, how you mingle in your social life and people you’re going to meet this year.”

“This (peach blossom star) will also increase your aura, energy,” in attracting “good people” or mentors to help one in dealing with projects, Chua added.

“Since (Kim is) Year of the Horse, this year, (those born in the Year of the Horse) are very good in terms of relationship luck, so she can use this peach blossom star to (step up) her career in showbiz and mas lalo siyang makikilala.”

But as for love, Chua said, “Mas maraming love for herself.”

“Relationship-wise, meron naman siyang chances of meeting (having a) new relationship. In the feng shui way of energy, meron siyang opportunity to attract a good person this year who (can give) quality time and effort (to) take care of her,” Chua said.

Kim has recently been linked by fans to her “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” leading man Paulo Avelino, who according to his birthdate is an Earth Dragon. According to Chua, “It might be that the relationship luck of the Earth Dragon is not so stable. It might be naghahanap din siya ng right person or waiting for the right opportunity also. Kaya hindi rin siya ganun ka-priority (relationship). Mostly this year, tini-take care din niya yung sarili niya, in terms of his career status, his standing in the business, and his investments.”

For her insights into their onscreen tandem, which first clicked via the relationship drama “Linlang,” according to Chua, “if we don’t put pressure on these two persons regarding their personal life, more on the showbiz lang, it will click (this year). If it will intrude into their personal life, it might be hindi sila magki-click.

“Because their primary goal is more to focus on their career,” she said.

Kathryn, based on her birthdate, is a Fire Rat so, according to Chua, the actress’ focus is on her career and business projects. “Since it’s a fire energy, so mas gagamitin niya yung ideas and passion niya in… career projects, yun ang tutukan ng time and effort.”

Daniel, on the other hand, is a Wood Pig which according to Jean, is one of the lucky animal signs this 2024. “Of course, kelangan din magfocus sa sarili niya in terms of investment and business.”

When asked if it’s possible for a reconciliation for the former reel-to-real-life pair KathNiel based on their animal signs?

“In the relationship aspect, it might be magiging secondary priority nila. But if they can give their quality time and effort to join together, magkakaroon ng another kwento yun or another aspect.”

As for the canceled engagement of Bea, who is a Fire Rabbit, and Dominic, who is a Metal Horse, Chua said, “In feng shui kasi, we always deal with the time dimension, like kung kelan ba nangyari yung breakup nila, at the same time may mga calendar cut-off so depende kung saan siya nag-fall.

“If ever (it happened) in January 2024, it would be considered as 2023

the Year of the Rabbit. In the Year of the Rabbit talagang maraming mga problems, issues that arose in the relationship energy. ‘Di siya ganun ka-strong. But if nag-fall sila sa February, in the Wood Dragon Year already, I think it’s more na on about the communication issues kaya nagkaroon ng ganung breakups.”

Can BeaDom give their relationship a second chance in the Year of the Dragon? “There can be a good chance or opportunity to have a good relationship as long as maganda yung communication energy nila.”

Chua was also asked about her insights on the newly-engaged couple Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo.

Based on their birthdates, Ria is a Water Monkey and Zanjoe, a Water Dog. Would 2024 be a good year to tie the knot?

“Since they both have the water elements in their birthday, ang kailangan lang nila is to focus on the communication. Since this year, as I’ve mentioned, kulang tayo sa water, and they have that element, so mas mabilis na nila i-facilitate yung relationship luck nila as long as maganda yung communication (and they put in) quality time and effort to focus on the leveling up of their relationship,” she said.

Meanwhile, Chua said that the luckiest signs this year are the Rat and the Monkey, second is Rooster, the Ox and the Tiger, “because they have the blessing stars with them that’s why they are considered the luckiest signs this year.”

In the romance department, due to the so-called sky happiness (star), for those born in the Year of the Snake, she said, “You may enjoy a level up

pa rin,

on your relationship, you can plan a family and enter a new relationship. Aside from Snake, the Year of the Pig is also good for relationships.”

As she mentioned, because of the lack of the water element in this Wood Dragon Year, one “may also encounter misunderstandings, some fighting in relationships because of the infidelity star, so there are challenges also,” so this year she said is an opportunity to strengthen relationships.

“Every animal sign will have their own set of potential and negative stars so don’t worry if you’re not mentioned among the luckiest animal signs,” Chua was quick to advise.

“Sometimes, sabihin natin, you’re so lucky this year because you all have the potential stars and lucky stars but wala kang action, so hindi mo rin ma-enjoy yun. Kahit sabihin may negative star ka this year but you have a positive mindset, you’re very competitive, you’re careful, ikaw pa yung magkakaroon ng magandang outcome for the year.

“That’s why in feng shui, we always have to balance energy… Always apply harmony, balance, and positive energy in order for you to be more successful this year. In feng shui, our primary goal is to enhance harmony and balance… We can see its approach, it’s not religion, it’s a practice. It’s just like a software in a cellphone that we can use.

“We can use this approach and apply it to our life and see if it is effective or not because (it’s the) vibration, yung energy ang bini-base natin dito. You don’t have to believe in feng shui, you just need to practice it in a right way.”
