Estudyante Esports, one of the flagship pillars of grassroot esports powerhouse Dark League Studios, celebrates the fusion of esports and education in the Estudyante Esports SummEEt at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Saturday. Over 100 schools have signed up for the “SummEEt” that will discuss Estudyante Esports’ wide array of holistic programs dedicated to increase awareness, appreciation and actual practice of the esports industry, as well as forging academic partnerships in order to support the fast-evolving community within schools and academic institutions nationwide. “It is expected to be the most exciting gathering for academe and esports right at the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum,” said Dark League Studios CEO AC Valdenor.

Set from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the gathering will have Dark League Studios co-founder and chief marketing officer Alfrancis Chua as keynote speaker. The PBA executive is an avid cheerleader of esports players and gamers through the PBA Esports franchise.

The SummEEt, also to be graced by Philippine Sports Commission chairman Richard Bachmann and PBA commissioner Willie Marcial, will also tackle Dark League Studios’ elaborate plans to further support the grassroots esports scene. The event is open to the public for free. “Aside from its compelling roster of industry personalities, the event will feature an interesting dress code, allowing its participants to be in cosplay with a major prize for its winners, and showcase a culmination of pop culture filled with thrilling games, meet and greets with gaming and esports influencers, and a bountiful walkway with partner booths together with fun activities,” said Valdenor.

“Estudyante Esports will also feature the EE caravan, roaming across different regions,” Valdenor added.
