At the launch, beauty queen Billie Hakenson and actress Kristine Hermosa-Sotto talked about Kristine’s journey with SKJN Collagen. Kristine first used the collagen microtablets in 2023 when she was getting ready for her Valentine’s date with her husband, Oyo Sotto. One year later, she still takes it “Because of the positive effects I experienced while using it.”
Before the brand rose to TikTok viral fame, SKJN began selling its products through Facebook and Instagram in 2019. In 2020, the sales increased at the height of the pandemic.
“People were in their houses, fully online and open to exploring other brands,” shared Bright Beauty Inc. sales and marketing director Earl Viray. “That’s the time we saw a high increase in growth.”
By word of mouth, the brand grew throughout the years. Customers started referring the product to others, and resellers reached out to the brand to set up its online stores. In 2020 alone, SKJN sold collagen microtablets and other products to more than 2,000 customers.
By 2022, SKJN opened its official online stores in LazMall and Shopee Mall. In 2024, the brand reached another milestone by making collagen microtablets available across major Watsons stores in the Philippines. SKJN Collagen Microtablets are manufactured in Japan. One of the brand’s founders tirelessly searched for the right collagen formula and found the answer in Japan’s hydrolyzed collagen. Hydrolyzed collagen offers a more concentrated form of collagen peptides, making each microtablet extremely potent.
