On February 3, the K-pop sensation Enhypen brought their second global tour, “Fate,” to a spectacular close at the New Clark City Stadium in the Philippines. This momentous occasion marked the group as the first K-pop band to perform at this venue, which saw them end their six-month trek on a high note. The tour, which captivated over 327,000 fans known as Engenes, traversed 13 cities with 21 performances.

A highlight of their journey included Enhypen’s remarkable US stadium debut at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles and breaking a record with a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome, achieving this milestone faster than any other K-pop boy group since their inception.

But, according to them, none of their shows made them feel as good as the ones in the Philippines with their Filipino fans. During the group’s previous visit to the country for their Manifesto concert tour, Enhypen praised the Filipino crowd for being the “most passionate.” That’s why they were looking forward to coming back here. And when they did, they weren’t disappointed.

They began the show with an energetic rendition of Drunk-Dazed, followed by Blockbuster, Fever, Flicker, Future Perfect, Blessed-Cursed, Paradoxxx Invasion, and Tamed-Dashed. A special performance of One and Only, the digital single they released as part of the Pokémon Music Collective, saw Pikachu mascots take the stage to dance with the members.

The Enhypen members prepared several surprises for their Filipino fans: Sunoo covered Moving Closer by Never the Strangers, Sunghoon danced to SB19’s Gento, Heeseung presented his take on Zack Tabudlo’s Give Me Your Forever, and Jake sang a few lines from Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself. The Filipino fans did the same, preparing various fan projects that included orange flowers for attendees, blue roses in celebration of Jungwon’s birthday, and an aerial banner. These gestures left the group amazed, with member Jay remarking, “This is the Philippines I’ll remember.”

As the evening drew to a close, Enhypen and their Filipino supporters exchanged an energetic back-andforth, with the band encouraging the audience to lose themselves in the music. Gratitude filled the air as the group took time to express their thanks, with Jake saying, “I’m just so happy that we saved the best for last. Ending the Fate tour with such an amazing audience and amazing people. From the bottom of my heart, I truly cherish you guys.”

The septet promised their Filipino fans they would return soon. All told, the three-hour extravaganza that was Fate in NCC — produced by PULP Live World — was one for the books. —
