Hotel101-Madrid Ushers in a New Era of Hospitality
Last March 13, 2024, Hotel101-Madrid, a promising addition to Spain’s hospitality landscape, celebrated the commencement of its construction with a groundbreaking ceremony and the signing of the construction contract with the renowned Ferrovial Construction. This notable event took place in Valdebebas, Madrid, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Rocio Albert Lopez-Ibor, the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Employment of the Madrid Region, alongside Philippe J. Lhuillier, the Philippine Ambassador to Spain. These activities were led by the notable figures of DoubleDragon: Chairman Edgar Injap Sia II, CEO of Hotel101 Hannah YuloLuccini, and Co-Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong.
The event was further distinguished by representatives from Ferrovial Construction Group, including Juan Luis Junguito Oppelt (Director Region Centro), Belen Marquina Susin (Directoria Edificacion Madrid), Manuel Angel Sanz Pecharroman (Jefe de Grupo de Obras), alongside Equicom Group Chairman Antonio L. Go, highlighting the collaborative efforts driving this project.
Ferrovial, a leading construction giant in Spain, is poised to begin full-scale construction of Hotel101Madrid in April 2024, with an ambitious completion target set for Q4 2025. The timing is impeccable, as the hotel aims to open its doors in conjunction with the inaugural Madrid F1 Grand Prix, situated adjacent to the property.
Boasting 680 rooms, Hotel101-Madrid is poised to become one of the top five * largest hotels in the region. The hotel is located on a prime 6,593 square-meter commercial property along Avenida Fuerzas Armadas in Valdebebas, Madrid. This strategic location places it within walking distance of major landmarks and transport hubs, including the Valdebebas Train Station, the IFEMA convention complex, the Real Madrid Sports Complex, and the new Madrid Barajas International Airport, promising unparalleled convenience and accessibility to guests.
