SEN. LOREN LEGARDA PRESENTS CECILE LICAD IN HONOR OF WOMEN’S MONTH

Recognized as one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous works, Concerto No. 1 stands as an empowering masterpiece, owing to its powerful and virtuosic piano writing, dramatic intensity, and heart-swooning melodies. Its triumphant finale, characterized by an exhilarating pace, creates a powerful and uplifting atmosphere, inspiring a sense of strength and resilience — making it a fitting homage to women empowerment.
Under the guidance of the esteemed maestro Grzegorz Nowak, the music director and principal conductor of the PPO, the concert promises to be a harmonious blend of musical mastery.
Designed for an intimate and impactful experience, this private gathering assembles dignitaries from the Senate, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, socio-civic stalwarts, educators from state colleges and universities, young artists, and music students from various universities.

Promising an extraordinary convergence of artistic excellence, this special musical celebration featuring Cecile Licad, in honor of Women’s Month, is proudly presented by Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Culture and the Arts, in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) with its chairman Ino Manalo, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) headed by chairman Jaime Laya, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Society, Inc. led by the late president Zenaida Tantoco.
