2GO bulks up operations with new vessel

2GO Group Inc., a subsidiary of Sy-led SM Investment­s Corp. (SMIC), is going full speed ahead on its expansion, bolstering its operations with the addition of a new vessel for travel and logistics.

The company announced the addition of the MV 2GO Masigla in its fleet which serves as a significan­t boost to the company’s operations in Davao and General Santos.

The new vessel is aimed to foster economic growth and facilitate seamless connection­s in the Mindanao region, said 2GO president and CEO Frederic DyBuncio.

“Our increased presence in Davao and General Santos reflects our dedication to being at the forefront of meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” he said.

“We are confident that these enhancemen­ts will contribute significan­tly to the overall growth and prosperity of the regions,” he added.

MV 2GO Masigla embarked on its first operationa­l voyage yesterday, departing from Davao and General Santos for Iloilo, before returning to Manila along the Manila-Davao-GenSan-Iloilo-Manila route.

In addition to its cargo transport services between Manila and Davao and General Santos, 2GO also elevates the travel experience with the MV 2GO Masigla.

The vessel offers amenities similar to restaurant dining, hotel-like accommodat­ion, a fully-equipped salon and karaoke rooms.

There are also retail outlets featuring well-known brands such as MINISO, QuikMart and Watsons, along with freshly brewed beverages from Café 2GO.

A comprehens­ive range of shipping services is likewise fully operationa­l and ready for scheduling to meet customer needs.

“With this expansion, 2GO is keen on strengthen­ing its position as a key player in the travel and logistics industry of the Philippine­s,” the company said.
