Katarina Rodriguez reacts to sexual harassment allegations of Miss Earth candidates
Saludo si Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez sa mga babaeng naglalakas-loob magsalita matapos makaranas ng sexual harassment.
Mainit na usapin ngayon ang paglantad ng ilang kandidata ng Miss Earth 2018 upang isiwalat ang sexual harassment na naranasan umano nila mula sa isang sponsor ng annual interna onal pageant na idinaos sa Pilipinas.
Sa pamamagitan ng Instagram, inilahad nina Miss Canada Jaime VandenBerg, Miss Guam Emma Sheedy, at Miss England Abby-Anne GylesBrown ang pangha-harass sa kanila sa pre-pageant ac vi es ng Miss Earth 2018.
Samantala, isa ring kandidata ng Miss Earth 2018, si Miss Cuba Monica Aguilar, ang nag-post sa Instagram ng pagkontra sa mga alegasyon ng tatlong kandidata.
Ani Monica, walang nangyaring sexual harassment sa mga candidate.

Eksklusibong nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Katarina sa kanyang send‐off press conference nitong Huwebes, November 8.
Gaganapin naman ang Miss World 2018 sa Sanya, China sa December 8.
Hiningi ng PEP.ph ang opinyon ng 26-year-old model-turned-beauty queen tungkol sa beautypageant candidates na nakararanas ng sexual harassment.
Pahayag ni Katarina, “I think it’s not just beauty queens, but I suppose yes, because beauty pageants are such a big thing.
“I’d like to say na sana na lang that whoever speaks up... I completely commend them for speaking up, kasi medyo mahirap iyan.”
Ibinahagi rin ni Katarina na kaibigan niya ang Filipino-Italian modelbeauty queen na si Ambra Ba;lana Gu errez, 26.
Naging kontrobersiyal si Ambra matapos ibunyag na nakaranas siya ng sexual harassment noong 2015 mula kay Harvey Weinstein, isang big‐ me American film producer.

“She’s half-Filipina, halfItalian.
“I listened to her podcast and followed her story.
“She experienced it first‐ hand, mul ple mes, even as Miss Italy, kasi she did Miss Italy.”
Naging finalist si Ambra sa Miss Italy noong 2010.
Pagpapatuloy ni Katarina, “But her story is so true and I hope the girls who do come out, they’re strong girls, who are wanting to speak up…"
Dugtong ni Katarina, “Sana it’s true. You only ever want to speak the truth, right?
“So, that’s the first thing, I have to say.
“And the second thing— believing what they’re saying is true—it’s scary… it’s a scary thing to go through.
“I would not wanna go through that.”
Mensahe naman ni Katarina sa mga abuser, “For those who do take advantage, sana na lang they think about their ac ons.
“They think about what they’re doing and they respect women… not just women, but respect people.
“Everyone should respect male or female, whatever gender. You should just give respect to whoever you’re encountering.”
