NegOcc guv turns over P15M funds for brgy projects

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday turned over P15 million worth of checks to the different barangays of the province to fund their respective projects.

The recipients, Barangay V, Silay City; barangays East and West in Candoni; Barangay Bulata, Cauayan; Barangay Poblacion, Valladolid; and barangays Sta. Rosa, Minoyan, Amayco, San Miguel, Lopez Jaena, Sta. Cruz, Canlandog, Zone III, Zone II, all of the municipali­ty of Murcia, each received P300,000 for projects such as:

● concreting of barangay road

● acquisitio­n of multi-purpose vehicles

● repairs of multi-purpose halls

● constructi­on of bleachers with canopy

● constructi­on of perimeter fence

● rehabilita­tion of sports and cultural cente

● repair of day care center

● installati­on of CCTV, and

● constructi­on of a water system.

Meanwhile, the municipali­ty of Valladolid through Mayor Enrique Miravalles also received P1 million for the acquisitio­n of a multi-purpose vehicle.

The checks were personally received by the punong barangays and authorized representa­tives at the Capitol Social Hall./
