Jayda Avanzado confirms past relationship with Darren Espanto

Kapamilya star Jayda Avanzado confirmed that she and Darren Espanto had a romantic history which was kept private until earlier this week.

This confirmation came after Darren revealed his past relationships in an interview with Boy Abunda.

Jayda shared in an interview with veteran columnist Cristy Fermin about their old relationship with one another.

She shared that both of them were very young when they decided to express their feelings to one another.

The Kapamilya singeractress didn’t deny anything, and recalled what was once special for the two of them.

“Nung interview, actually, nagulat ako. May nag-send na lang po sa ‘kin na sinabi niya po ‘yun. Pero totoo naman po ‘yung sinabi niya na way back then nung mga bata pa kami. Meron po talaga. Kumbaga parang may feelings din po na nabuo sa ‘min pong dalawa. Nangyari po talaga ‘yun,” she shared.

Jayda didn’t share any more of her history with Darren, but assured people that they are already both okay despite their breakup.

“Siguro po desisyon niya at the moment. I would say as well, parang gaya po ng sinabi ni Darren. Hindi ko na lang rin po parang i-elaborate, ibibigay lahat ng mga detalye, pero it is true. Naging close po talaga kami ni Darren dati. He was once special to me. To this day, okay naman po kami. Lalo na po kapag nagkikita kami,” she added.

Previously, Darren revealed in his interview with Boy about his previous relationships with celebrities, which included Jayda.

“There definitely was. But ‘yun lang po ang sasabihin ko … It’s something that, I guess, we’d like to keep private. Things from the past — Jayda and I, we’ve been friends since we were younger. Jayda and I are still friends,” he said.

Apart from Jayda, Darren revealed that he dated Kyline Alcantara in the past as well.

The “Can’t Buy Me Love” actor was also linked to Cassy Legaspi, but he has denied it multiple times, stating that they are only best friends. (ABS-CBN News)
