THE CHAMELEON OF STORYTELLERS

DIVINE WICKED STUDIO RC LIZAN

-

RC Lizan captures the most intimate moments as they unfold.

They say the things that are meant to be fall right into place. However, for RC Lizan, it was quite some time before he ventured into wedding photography. Beginning his career as a studio photographer, RC had not foreseen getting into wedding photography full-time. Throughout his years of experience, he eventually concentrated on sports photography and advertising. While he also began dabbling with wedding photography, it wasn’t until he reunited with a studio he formerly worked with for eight years that he finally dove straight into the world of prenups and weddings. And by 2018, he has since flown solo in the industry.

“I do mood-based photography, I don’t really conform to any style. Since I worked as a freelance photographer for more than a decade, I’ve gotten a skill where I can just adjust to whatever it is that’s needed to produce the right image at certain moments.”

His work stands as a testament to his storytelling skills, taking scenarios of deep intimacy and bringing them into their full glamor.

However, in order to more accurately depict the story, he takes his clients’ perspectives into account, which is another skill he has sharpened.

It’s probably why every set of stills that RC takes, transforms into something like a storybook. Not only does he put his clients front and center, but he also manages to capture the setting and the mood. Whether it’s RC’S mastery of color-grading or a knack for translating personalities into photos, his talents have thrived on mountainous locations, urban landscapes, historical settings or even in fully lit studios.

As if a chameleon adjusting to its surroundings, RC doesn’t intrude on a moment or barge into a scene. Rather, he unfurls a story through his lens and, with a series of snaps, sparks a cinematic tale that can only be seen when one goes into the moment without apprehension.
