Carlota wins Pro-Am

João Carlota won his second Pro-Am this season in PGA Portugal Tour tournaments. The representative of Team Portugal won the Hilti/ Mota Engil Pro-Am at the Golfe de Amarante, and repeated the feat at the Mateus Rose Pro-Am, part of the PGA Solverde National Championship. João Carlota played with amateurs Fernando Ferreira, João Fonseca and Jorge Santos, totalling 90 points. A smashing victory that left all competition at least 10 points behind. There were two teams with 80 points – the one led by professional João Pedro Sousa, with Armando Ribeiro, Joaquim Ribeiro and Ramiro Ferreira, and by British professional Jay Taylor, with amateurs Ana Ribeiro, Luis Alves and Raimundo Abreu. Besides João Carlota, only João Ramos managed to win two Pro-Ams on the PGA Portugal Tour. João Carlota conquistou ontem o seu segundo Pro -Am da temporada em torneios do PGA Portugal Tour. João Carlota jogou ao lado dos amadores Fernando Ferreira, João Fonseca e Jorge Santos, totalizado 90 pontos. Uma vitória esmagadora, que deixou a concorrência a 10 pontos. Com 80 pontos ficaram duas equipas, a do profissional João Pedro Sousa com os amadores Armando Ribeiro, Joaquim Ribeiro e Ramiro Ferreira, e a do profissional britânico Jay Taylor com os amadores Ana Ribeiro, Luís Alves e Raimundo Abreu. Para além de João Carlota, só João Ramos venceu este ano dois Pro-Am do PGA Portugal Tour.
