Agreement between Portuguese and Brazilian seniors
The presidents of Associação Nacional de Seniores de Golfe de Portugal (ANSGP), António Rebelo, and Associação Brasileira de Golfe Senior (ABGS), Claudio Kiryla, agreed to establish a protocol between the two associations, not only in terms of interchange of facilities and benefits between players in both countries, but also by organizing a tournament every year in each of the countries. “We exchanged great ideas, we took the first steps, and we just need to put it in writing, to formalize it. All the benefits my association has in Brazil will be extended to Portuguese seniors” said Claudio Kiryla. Antonio Rebelo stressed that everything that can bring greater benefits to the association he leads is good, and he added that even though Portugal is one of 24 members of the European Senior Golf Association this agreement will open up new horizons for Portuguese seniors, beyond European borders. “In what concerns tournaments,” said Antonio Rebelo, “ANSGP will invite Brazilian seniors to participate in the Tower of Belem International Trophy, scheduled for March 2017, with the Brazilian tournament still to be scheduled, in August or September, with the Aquiraz resort being the most likely venue.” Os presidentes da Associação Nacional de Seniores de Golfe de Portugal (ANSGP), António Rebelo, e da Associação Brasileira de Golfe Sénior (ABGS), Cláudio Kiryla, acordaram em estabelecer entre as 2 Associações um protocolo, que passa não só pelo intercâmbio de facilidades e benefícios entre os jogadores de ambos os países, como por efectuar todos os anos um torneio em Portugal e outro no Brasil, “Trocámos grandes ideias, os primeiros passos foram dados, agora falta colocar no papel, para formalizarmos. Todos os benefícios que a minha associação tem no Brasil serão transferidos para os seniores portugueses”, afirmou Cláudio Kiryla. António Rebelo sublinhou que tudo o que possa trazer benefícios à Associação a que preside é positivo, acrescentando que apesar de Portugal fazer parte de um grupo de 24 países membros da European Senior Golf Association, este acordo abre novos horizontes para os Seniores Portugueses, para além das fronteiras da Europa. Em relação aos torneios, esclarece António Rebelo, a ANSGP convidará os seniores brasileiros para participarem no Internacional Trophy Tower of Belem, programado para março de 2017, ocorrendo o torneio no Brasil, ainda não programado, em agosto ou setembro, sendo o resort de Aquiraz o palco mais provável.
