NORTH DELEGATION

Imust stress the active inputs of the North Delegation associates and the way they integrated the national teams that will take part in the second stage of the qualification for the national seniors2 and master seniors’ teams that will represent Portugal in the Poland and Czech Republic championships, respectively. These big events in international golf, as well as all the tournaments that are to be played in the regional enad national circuits, in the most diverse courses throughout Portugal, its islands and abroad is only possible because we have the privilege of being associates of the Associação Nacional de Seniores de Golfe de Portugal. In what concerns our delegation, we have realized that our members are more participating, more competent and more competitive. These facts are clear from a 25 percent increase in the number of enrolments in tournaments already played, and by results attained, especially in the first stage of the ESGA qualification rounds, in which twice as many of our players qualified for the second stage of the qualification round. The North Delegation will do everything in its power to make these numbers go up, as it will count with the support and commitment of its associates, and with all the new players that want to play golf at a more competitive level, both nationally and internationally.

Não posso deixar de destacar a participação ativa dos Associados da Delegação Norte e a sua integração no conjunto de jogadores que participarão na 2ª fase de apuramento para constituição das seleções de Seniores e Master Seniores, que vão disputar e representar o nosso País, no Campeonato da Europa das Associações Nacionais de Golfe Sénior, respectivamente na Polónia e na Républica Checa. Este grande evento do golfe internacional, juntamente com todos os torneios que podemos disputar nos Circuitos Regionais e Nacionais, nos mais diversos e melhores campos do Continente, Ilhas e no estrangeiro, só é possível, porque temos o privilégio de sermos associados da Associação Nacional de Seniores de Golfe de Portugal. No que respeita à nossa Delegação constatamos que os nossos associados estão mais participativos, mais competentes e mais competitivos. Tais factos são confirmados pelo aumento de 25% de inscrições nos torneios já realizados este ano e pelos resultados obtidos, principalmente na 1ª fase de apuramento ESGA, em que o dobro dos nossos jogadores, relativamente ao ano anterior, se classificaram para disputar a 2ª fase de apuramento. A Delegação tudo fará para que no futuro este número, possa aumentar, pois contará com o apoio e empenho dos seus Associados e com a vinda de novos jogadores, que tenham a ambição de jogar o seu golfe, a um nível mais competitivo no âmbito Nacional e Internacional.
