CLUBS’ NA­TIONAL: SE­NIORS MAKE THE PODIUM

The ANSG did well at the Na­tional Se­niors’ Clubs’ Cham­pi­onship, played at the Aroeira 1 with 16 men’s teams and one ladies’, de­spite it be­ing re­duced to three play­ers, due to an in­jury to the fourth (the three best scores counted). The ANSG fin­ished third with an ag­gre­gate of 501 strokes (250+251), play­ing on the two days with An­tónio Guer­reiro (86+83), Gregório Cabo (90+86) and Manuel Broa (74+82), Broa be­ing the sec­ond best player in the tour­na­ment, one stroke from the best, João Neto San­tos, from Troia. In this cham­pi­onship, which was re­served for play­ers with hand­i­caps in their re­spec­tive clubs, the win­ner was Aroeira (485), fol­lowed by Troia (491). The Ladies’ was won by the Es­to­ril.

Ae­quipa da ANSG es­teve em destaque no Cam­pe­onato Na­cional de Clubes Sénior, que se dis­putou no Aroeira I com 16 equipas mas­culi­nas e qua­tro fem­i­ni­nas, ape­sar de re­duzida a três jo­gadores de­v­ido a de­sistên­cia, por lesão, do quarto el­e­mento (pon­tu­avam os três mel­hores por volta). A equipa da As­so­ci­ação ter­mi­nou no ter­ceiro lu­gar com o agre­gado de 501 pan­cadas (250-251), jo­gando nos dois dias com An­tónio Guer­reiro (86-83), Gregório Cabo (90-86) e Manuel Brôa (74-82) que foi o se­gundo mel­hor jo­gador do torneio, a uma pan­cada do primeiro, João Neto San­tos, de Tróia. Neste cam­pe­onato, onde ape­nas po­diam al­in­har jo­gadores com o hand­i­cap no clube que rep­re­sen­tavam, o vence­dor foi a Aroeira com 485, seguindo-se Tróia com 491. Na prova fem­i­nina gan­hou o Es­to­ril.
