The Dom Pedro group, who recently acquired the five Vilamoura courses, presented the new image of the courses, now part of the Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection. In Vilamoura, the Oceanico Golf became the Dom Pedro Golf, while all other courses keep their original names – Pinhal GC, Millenium GC, Victoria GC, Laguna GC, Old Course – but now with the gold symbol of the proprietor. As part of this rebranding, the Dom Pedro Golf, the oldest of the group (opened in 1975) is now the Dom Pedro Vilamoura. The launch of the rebranding was attended by some thirty journalist­s and European tour operators and included a tournament at the Victoria Golf Club. The Net winner was German Frank Crudo (45 points), followed by Portuguese José Valente (38). The Gross winner was Dutchman Oliver Gunning (31). The First lady was Dutchwoman Manuela Ilgun. The official ceremony, which started with a champagne cocktail at Buzios and finished with a gala dinner at the Dom Pedro Marina, was attended by various entities accompanyi­ng hosts Stefano Saviotti and Luis Correia da Silva, from the vice-president of Turismo Portugal, Filipe Silva, to the President of Turismo Algarve, Desidério Silva, as well as councilmen from Loulé and Vilamoura.

OGrupo Dom Pedro, que recentemen­te comprou os cinco campos de golfe de Vilamoura, apresentou a nova imagem das infraestru­turas, agora integradas no Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection. Em Vilamoura, a Oceânico Golf passou a designar-se Dom Pedro Golf e todos os campos mantêm o nome inicial – Pinhal GC, Millennium GC, Victoria GC, Laguna GC, Old Course – mas agora com o símbolo dourado da nova entidade proprietár­ia. E os cinco percursos integram agora a Dom Pedro Golf Collection. No âmbito deste “rebranding” o Hotel Dom Pedro Golf, o mais antigo do grupo (inaugurado em 1975) passou a designar-se Dom Pedro Vilamoura. O lançamento do “rebranding” teve a participaç­ão de três dezenas de jornalista­s e operadores turísticos europeus e incluiu um torneio no Victoria. Em net ganhou o alemão Franck Crudo com 45 pontos, seguido do português José Valente com 38. Em gross ganhou o holandês Oliver Gunning com 31. A primeira senhora foi a holandesa Manuela Ilgun. Na cerimónia oficial, que começou com o champagne cocktail no Búzios e terminou com o jantar de gala no Dom Pedro Marina, estiveram várias entidades a acompanhar os anfitriões Stefano Saviotti e Luís Correia da Silva, desde o vice-presidente do Turismo de Portugal, Filipe Silva, ao Presidente do Turismo do Algarve, Desidério Silva, autarcas de Loulé e Vilamoura.
