More than four dozen golfers gathered at Montebelo for the II International House Tournament in early September, which was attended by Gay Adamson, the founder of this prestigious school in Viseu. The four best players in Net defeated the Caramulo course, so they will soon have the handicapes more scrutinized. They were: Carlos Ferreira (38), who had the same score as Helena Coelho, but was topped by the best 2nd nine, followed by Ronald Warner and José Gonçalves with 37. In Gross, José Santos led with 26 points, Carlos Tinoco made 24 and Jaime Fernandes 23. In addition to the Net and Gross, prizes were also awarded to Elisabete Pinto (1st Lady and Longest Drive), José Gonçalves (Closest) and António Araújo (Longest). After lunch in the Montebelo clubhouse, Gay Adamson presented the prizes, as well as guided a rich raffle (golf equipment, Quinta do Perdigão wines and IH vouchers), contemplative of all those present.
