INATEL FUNDATION CIRCUIT FINAL
The grand finale of the Inatel Foundation Circuit was held on the beautiful Aldeia dos Capuchos course on a summer like morning with the participation of the 25 finalists and some guests. The winner of the final was Celso Rui Laires with 22 points, followed by Abel Carlos Pereira with 20. The first Lady was Amelia Lourenço. The prize for closest to the hole, offered by Aldeia dos Capuchos, went to João Paulo Mourinha. The winner of the second edition of the INATEL Foundation Circuit was José Simões Moreira, followed by António Villa de Freitas and Mateus Marques. The prize for the first Lady went to Zulmira Silva Alves. The prizes were distributed during the convivial lunch at the golf course hotel, in the presence of Álvaro Carneiro, Administrator of the Inatel Foundation, and João Ribeiro, Sports Director of the Foundation. António Costa, Vice-President of ANSG, highlighted the “success and enthusiasm” of the circuit, which in the eight qualifying tournaments in the region of Lisbon had the participation of 750 players. “We started a new trend in golf, that of playing only 9 holes. These days it is not possible to be on the golf course five or six hours to play 18 holes,” said António Costa, noting that the circuit may soon expand to the whole country, including the islands. Álvaro Carneiro highlighted the success of this second edition of the circuit as being very positive in the mission of the Foundation. “It is an initiative that fits the mission of the Inatel Foundation,” he added, noting the “huge success” of the Inatel Open in Porto Santo, which could be repeated next year and with a wider participation.
Agrande final do Circuito Fundação Inatel realizou-se no bonito campo da Aldeia dos Capuchos numa manhã com temperatura de verão com a participação dos 25 finalistas e alguns convidados. O vencedor da final foi Celso Rui Laires com 22 pontos, seguido de Abel Carlos Pereira com 20. A primeira senhora foi Amélia Lourenço. O prémio para a bola mais perto da bandeira, oferecido pela Aldeia dos Capuchos, foi para João Paulo Mourinha. O vencedor da segunda edição do Circuito Fundação INATEL foi José Simões Moreira, seguido de António Villa de Freitas e Mateus Marques. O prémio para a primeira senhora foi para Zulmira Silva Alves. Os prémios foram distribuídos durante o almoço de convívio no hotel do campo, com a presença deÁlvaro Carneiro, administrador da Fundação Inatel, e João Ribeiro, diretor desportivo da Fundação. António Costa, vice-presidente da ANSG, destacou o “sucesso e o entusiasmo” do circuito, que nos oito torneios de qualificação na região de Lisboa teve a participação de 750 jogadores. “Iniciamos um novo ciclo no golfe nacional, de jogar 9 buracos. Hoje não é possível estar no campo 5 ou 6 horas para jogar 18 buracos”, disse António Costa, salientando que o circuito pode alargar-se em breve a todo o País, incluindo as regiões autónomas. Álvaro Carneiro destacou o sucesso desta segunda edição do circuito como sendo “muito positivo na missão da Fundação. É uma iniciativa que se enquadra na missão da Fundação Inatel”, acrescentou, destacando o “enorme sucesso” do Open Inatel no Porto Santo, que poderá repetir-se no próximo ano e com uma participação mais alargada.
