PORTUGAL VS BELGIUM

The Penha Longa Monastery course hosted the Portugal-Belgium match. The Portuguese team, led by ANSG President António Rebelo, was the same team that won the European Championship. The Belgian side was a selection of the Association Royale de Golfeurs Seniors de Belgium, headed by Georges Gevers, President of the visiting association and also ESGA. “We had an excellent morning competition, with good weather and a golf course of unusual beauty, framed by this wonderful landscape. I congratulate the ANSG of Portugal for the way we were welcomed, as it further strengthens the friendship between the two associations,” said the Belgian leader. Portugal won the match with 123 points against Belgium’s 113 points .

Ocampo da Penha Longa Mosteiro recebeu o “match” Portugal-Bélgica, que envolveu a equipa portuguesa vencedora do Europeu capitaneada pelo presidente da ANSG, António Rebelo, e uma seleção da Association Royale de Golfeurs Seniors de Bélgique, capitaneada por Georges Gevers, presidente da associação visitante e também da ESGA. “Tivemos uma manhã de excelente competição, com bom tempo e um campo de uma beleza invulgar, enquadrado nesta maravilhosa paisagem. Felicito a ANSG de Portugal pela forma como fomos recebidos, pois fortalece ainda mais a amizade entre as duas associações”, referiu o dirigente belga. Portugal venceu o match com 123 pontos, contra os 113 pontos da Bélgica.
