MONTEBELO 20º ANNIVERSARY

The celebratory tournament of the 20th Anniversary of the Montebelo Golf Course filled the Caramulo course on an authentic summer day. With a shotgun start, the tournament was marked by high level of results with high handicap players dominated the Net classification. Maria Costa (hand. Ega 35,2) was the winner with 47 points, followed by Junior David Lopes (hand. 43) with 45 and Miguel Costa (27.9) 44. In Gross, João Couto (1st Montebelo Professional, now retired) won with 35 points, followed by Giuseppe Munafo (6) 27 and Agostinho Lopes. The special prizes went to João Andrade (Closest to the Hole, hole 12), Filipe Fernandes and Maria Costa (Longest Drive, hole 5). After the prizes were awarded, ‘Happy Birthday’ was sung to the club, with the course staff distributing the huge celebratory cake to those present, well ‘watered’ with champagne.

Otorneio comemorativo do 20º aniversário do Campo de Golfe do Montebelo encheu o percurso Caramulo num autêntico dia de Verão. Com partidas em shotgun, o torneio foi marcado por resultados de nível elevado com os handicapes altos a fazer valer as benesses e dinamitar a classificativa net. Maria Costa (hand. Ega 35,2) foi a vencedora com 47 ponto, seguida pelo júnior David Lopes (hand. 43) com 45 e por Miguel Costa (h. 27,9) 44. Na tabela real, João Couto (1º profissional do Montebelo e agora na reforma) venceu com 35 pontos, seguido por Giuseppe Munafo (h. 6) 27 e Agostinho Lopes. Os prémios especiais ficaram nas mãos de João Andrade (Closest to the Pin, buraco 12), Filipe Fernandes e Maria Costa (Longest Drive, buraco 5). Após a entrega de prémios, foi cantado os ‘Parabéns’ ao clube, com o staff do campo a distribuir o enorme bolo comemorativo pelos presentes, bem ‘regado’ com o respetivo champanhe.
