GOLF ABREU CIRCUIT: ABOUT MADEIRA

The sixth stage of the Circuit Golf Abreu took place at the end of October in the stunning course of the Santo da Serra Golf Club in Madeira. In a golf course that is considered one of the best in Europe, 56 golfers gathered for another exciting qualification. The results were once again received and shared happily. Thus, we highlight the teams of the Abreu Golf Circuit: André Costa and José António Silva (1st place Net with 47 points), António Salles Vieira and Allan O’Brien (2nd place Net with 42 points) and Pedro Araújo and Joaquim Gouveia (1st place Gross, with 43 points). After the healthy contest, the teams gathered for a well-deserved rest and a lunch at the clubhouse. Golfers, partners and organizers, like a large Abreu family, celebrated the awards ceremony. The tournament was only on Saturday but there was no lack of daily activities to warm this autumn and this stage! Thus, on Thursday, participants’ arrivals and accommodation at the Pestana Casino Park, Ocean & Spa Hotel were recorded. The afternoon was free for the first discoveries of the island. On Friday, after a good breakfast, it was no longer a free afternoon, but a full day to explore the nature and magical corners of Madeira. In 2017, and in the continuity of the solidarity project of the Golf Circuit Abreu, 10% of the value of the registrations revert in favor of IPO Porto. Foi (mais) uma etapa memorável, aquela que no final de outubro levou o Circuito Golfe Abreu 2017 até à Madeira. Jogada no Clube de Golf Santo da Serra, considerado um dos mais espetaculares campos de golfe na Europa, a sexta etapa do circuito contou com 56 jogadores que estiveram à altura das exigências do torneio. Os resultados foram uma vez mais recebidos e partilhados alegremente. Assim sendo, destacamos as equipas do Circuito de Golfe Abreu: André Costa e José António Silva (1º lugar Net, com 47 pontos), António Salles Vieira e Allan O’Brien (2º lugar Net, com 42 pontos) e Pedro Araújo e Joaquim Gouveia (1º lugar Gross, com 43 pontos). Terminada a disputa saudável, as equipas reuniram-se para um merecido descanso e convívi durante um almoço no clubhouse. Golfistas, parceiros e organizadores, como uma grande família Abreu, animaram a cerimónia de entrega de prémios. O jogo foi só no sábado mas, não faltaram atividades diárias para aquecer este Outono e esta etapa! Assim, a partir de 5ª feira foram-se registando as chegadas dos participantes e alojamento no Pestana Casino Park, Ocean & Spa Hotel. A tarde foi livre para as primeiras descobertas da ilha. Na 6ª feira, após um bom pequeno-almoço, já não se tratou de uma tarde livre, mas de um dia inteiro para explorar a natureza e os recantos mágicos da Madeira. Em 2017, e na continuidade do projeto solidário do Circuito de Golfe Abreu, 10% do valor das inscrições revertem a favor do IPO Porto.
