THE PAIRS FINAL
The National Final of The Pairs Circuit, organized by VIQ Golf, was held on the course at Montado with the participation of 33 teams from all over the country. The winning teams in Gross and Net were declared for the Circuit Masters in April next year in St. Andrews, Scotland. In Gross the winning pair was Hugo Teixeira / Pedro Coelho, the lowest handicap in the tournament, both of Montado, with 38 points (19-19), followed by Jorge Abreu / Paulo Oliveira (Bom Sucesso) with 35 and Pitch & Putt Champions Arnaldo Paredes and Hugo Espírito Santo (Quinta das Lágrimas), also with 35. In Net the pair Jose Carlos Melo / Valdemar Afonso (Aroeira) won with 47 points (25-22), followed by Josand Manuel Cândido Oliveira (CG Benfica) with 44 points. The winners will join the winners of the 15th Circuit Casinos Solverde and Circuito Abreu at the Circuit Masters that will take place on The Duke’s Course, Jubilee Course and The Castle Course in Scotland. The entire Portuguese delegation will be staying at the Macdonald Rusaks Hotel, next to the 18th green of the legendary Old Course of St. Andrews.
AFinal Nacional do circuito The Pairs, organizado pela VIQ Golfe, decorreu no percurso do Montado com a participação de 33 equipas, de todo o País. As duplas vencedoras em gross e net apuraram-se para o Circuit Masters a decorrer em Abril do próximo ano em St. Andrews, Escócia. Em gross o par vencedor foi Hugo Teixeira/Pedro Coelho, os handicaps mais baixos em prova, ambos do Montado, com 38 pontos (19-19), seguidos de Jorge Abreu/Paulo Oliveira (Bom Sucesso) com 35 e dos campeões de Pitch&Putt Arnaldo Paredes e Hugo Espírito Santo (Quinta das Lágrimas), também com 35. Em net venceu a dupla José Carlos Melo/Valdemar Afonso (Aroeira) com 47 pontos (25-22), seguidos de José e Manuel Cândido Oliveira (CG Benfica) com 44. Os vencedores desta final vão juntar-se na Escócia aos vencedores do 15º Circuito Casinos Solverde e Circuito Abreu no Circuit Masters que vai decorrer nos campos Duke’s Course, Jubilee Course e Castle Course. Toda a delegação portuguesa ficará instalada no hotel MacDonald Rusaks, ao lado do green do 18 do mítico Old Course de St. Andrews.
