APortuguese team reached a brilliant 3rd place among the 22 teams that participated in the XXXVII European Championship of Senior Golf, organized by the European Senior Golf Association (ESGA), which took place in early August in Hameenlina, Finland. Portugal participated with two teams, Net and Gross, respectively in the Cup and in the Championship, it was in Cup, in the course of Tawast Golf, that the collective formed by the members of the Senior Association, José Rações (Cap.), Carlos Tinoco, João Ambrósio, Marinho Cruz, Mário Melo and Mário Paiva, reached the podium. The performance of Carlos Tinoco in the three days of the CUP competition was highlighted, with a score of 73, 67, 67, being the individual winner of the Championship.The Gross team, who played in the Aulanko Golf Championship, made up Abel Pereira (Cap.), Albino Timóteo, António Guerreiro, António Sá, Cândido Oliveira and Steve Juster, in 16th place among the teams present in the competition, is the European champion United Kingdom.
Uma equipa portuguesa alcançou um brilhante 3º lugar, entre as 22 selecções que participaram no XXXVII Campeonato da Europa de Golfe de Seniores, organizado pela European Senior Golf Association (ESGA), que decorreu no principio de Agosto em Hameenlina, na Finlândia. Portugal esteve presente com duas selecções, Net e Gross, respectivamente na Cup e no Championship, foi em CUP, no percurso do Tawast Golf, que o colectivo constituída pelos associados da Associação Sénior, José Rações (Cap.), Carlos Tinoco, João Ambrósio, Marinho Cruz, Mário Melo e Mário Paiva, alcançou o pódio. De realçar a prestação de Carlos Tinoco, nos três dias de competição da CUP, com o score de 73, 67, 67, sagrandose o vencedor individual do Campeonato. A equipa Gross, que disputou o Championship, no percurso do Aulanko Golf, constituída Abel Pereira (Cap.), Albino Timóteo, António Guerreiro, António Sá, Cândido Oliveira e Steve Juster, alcançou o 16º lugar entre as seleções presentes na competição, sagrando-se campeã da Europa o United Kingdom.
