The 2018 champions of the Porto Golf Club were found with the finals of the Cup Paulo Reis (Men) and the Cup Ellen Kendall (Ladies). Played on two days in strokeplay, the competition brought together the top eight players from each category, who were found during the match-play phase throughout the year. Maria de Lurdes Sá Soares (Ladies), Alfredo H. Andresen Guimarães (Seniors), Luis Miguel Montenegro (Mid-Amateurs) and Vasco Manuel Correia Alves (Men) are the new champions. At the same course, a week later, anther of the iconic competitions of the club were disputed: the Selby Cup. The competition of the ‘bandeirinhas’ (little flags), as it is affectionately called, rewards the pair that is able to reach further in the course, after exhausting the strokes of its handicap. This position is then marked by a flag. The pair that put the flag farther on the course were the team made up of Alexandre Magalhães / Jaime Sá who managed to reach the 18th green. In second place were the duo Manuel Violas / Alfredo Almeida (also on the 18th green), and third, Elza Oliveira and António Fernando Oliveira, who left the flag near the 18th green.
Os campeões 2018 do Oporto Golf Club foram encontrados com a realização das finalíssimas da Taça Paulo Reis (homens) e da Taça Ellen Kendall (senhoras). Jogadas em dois dias, em strokeplay, a competição reuniu os oito melhores jogadores de cada categoria, que foram encontrados durante a fase de match-play ao longo do ano. Maria de Lurdes Sá Soares (Senhoras), Alfredo H. Andresen Guimarães (Seniores), Luis Miguel Montenegro (Mid-Amateurs) e Vasco Manuel Correia Alves (Homens) são os novos campeões. No mesmo campo, uma semana depois, disputou-se outras das competições icónicas do clube: a Taça Selby. A competição das bandeirinhas, como é carinhosamente chamada, premeia o par que conseguir chegar mais longe no campo, após esgotar as pancadas do seu handicap. Essa posição é depois marcada por uma bandeira. O par que colocou a bandeira mais longe no percurso, foi a equipa constituída por Alexandre Magalhães / Jaime Sá que conseguiram atingir o green do 18. Em segundo lugar ficou Manuel Violas / Alfredo Almeida (também no green do 18), e em terceiro Elza Oliveira e António Fernando Oliveira, com a bandeira perto green do 18.
