ABREU GOLF 2018

The V Abreu Golf Circuit has held two more stages in recent weeks, which led the competition to Guardian Bom Sucesso in Óbidos and Lisbon Sports Club. First, at the end of September, the fifth tournament this year took place along the banks of the Óbidos Lagoon, one sunny morning, on the course designed by Donald Steel, in which the doubles Rui Meireles and José Carlos Sousa (1st Place Net, with 43 points); Alexandre Batista and Carlos Simões (2nd Place Net with 41 points) and José Andrade and Jorge Custódio (1st Place Gross, with 33 points), were in the spotlight.

OV Circuito de Golfe Abreu teve nas últimas semanas mais duas etapas, que levaram a competição ao Guardian Bom Sucesso, em Óbidos, e ao Lisbon sports Club, em Lisboa. Primeiro, no final de setembro, o quinto torneio este ano do circuito decorreu no ‘championship’ junto às margens da Lagoa de Óbidos. Uma manhã solarenga, no campo desenhado por Donald Steel, em que as duplas Rui Meireles e José Carlos Sousa (1º Lugar Net, com 43 pontos); Alexandre Batista e Carlos Simões (2º Lugar Net, com 41 pontos) e José Andrade e Jorge Custódio (1º Lugar Gross, com 33 pontos), estiveram em destaque.

The day ended with a pleasant lunch and conviviality, followed by the prize-giving ceremony and raffles to end another Abreu’s moment. In October, roughly halfway through, the 2018 Abreu Golf Circuit visited the historic home of the Lisbon Sports Club. Founded in 1922, this was the location for the sixth tournament this year. In Serra da Carregueira, where the club’s 18 holes are located, the morning started out cold, but the sun appeared after a few holes, illuminating the excellent results. João Cirne Tomar and Pedro Gordo (1st Place Net, with 46 points); António Moura Portugal and Miguel Portela Morais (2nd Place Net, with 44 points) and João Paulo Pingo and Rogério Brandão (1st Place Gross, with 37 points), are an example. In Lisbon, one of the oldest clubs in the country, the day ended with a lunch, an aperitif for the awards ceremony and raffle. This year, and continuing with the solidarity project of the Abreu Golf Circuit, 10% of the registration value will be donated to the IPO Porto. Na Serra da Carregueira, onde os 18 buracos do clube estão desenhados, a manhã até começou fria mas o sol acabou por aparecer, iluminando os excelentes resultados.
