The Golf Club of the Architects, on December 6, 7 and 8, headed to the Eastern Algarve more exactly to Quinta da Ria to close its 2019 Circuit, through the VII President’s Cup, the Closing Tournament (the Seventh Order of Merit) and the III International Tournament.
These competitions were attended by over 150 players every day, joining the club players golfers from various countries: Spain, Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Brazil.
Regarding the Presidents’ Cup, which took place on the 6th in Quinta de Cima, disputed in pairs, the Gross winners were João Carvalho and Orlando Garcia. In
OClube de Golf dos Arquitectos rumou, nos dias 6, 7 e 8 de dezembro, ao sotavento algarvio mais propriamente à Quinta da Ria para encerrar o seu Circuito de 2019, através da realização da VII Taça dos Presidentes, o Torneio de Encerramento (o Sétimo da Ordem de Mérito) e o III Torneio Internacional.
Estas competições tiveram a participação de mais de 150 jogadores em todos os dias, juntando-se à ‘prata da casa’ golfistas de diversos países: Espanha, Itália, Alemanha, França, Reino Unido e Brasil.
Em relação à Taça dos Presidentes, que decorreu no dia 6 na Quinta de Cima, disputada em pares, os vencedores Gross foram João Carvalho e Orlando Garcia. Em Net, melhor Filomena Ponte e Maria del Carmen, em segundo Filipe Duarte e Nuno Poiarez e em terceiro António Santa Maria e Augusto Osório.

The Closing Tournament, played at Quinta da Ria, had the best player João Carvalho with 32 Gross points. The winners of the three categories of CGA members were in the 3rd category Daniel di Pietro, the 2nd Maria Ferreira and the 1st Nuno Poiarez.
Já o Torneio de Encerramento, jogado no Quinta da Ria, teve como melhor jogador João Carvalho com 32 pontos Gross. Os vencedores das três categorias dos sócios CGA foram, na 3ª categoria Daniel di Pietro, na 2ª Maria Ferreira e na 1ª Nuno Poiarez.
Entre os convidados, os prémios foram para o melhor nacional Vasco Horta Correia, tendo o Internacional sido entregue a Giorgio di Matteo.
Among the guests, the awards went to the best national Vasco Horta Correia, and the International was awarded to Giorgio di Matteo.
The International Tournament was played between Portugal, Spain and Italy. This time Portugal got the best with 178 points, while Spain and Italy were 151 points. The Portuguese team scored the points of João Carvalho, Nuno Poiarez, Fernando Pimentel, Manuel di Pietro and Maria Ferreira.
Apart from the competition note fot the high quality of the golf courses, the excellent hospitality, the vast and diverse cuisine, the spectacle that was provided and above all by the way the event was framed providing a tide and close relationship between all.
It seems to us that the Golf Club of Architects says goodbye 2019 with a stimulating foreshadowing of the year 2020. The date on which the club celebrates its 20th anniversary.
O Torneio Internacional foi disputado entre as seleções de Portugal, Espanha e Itália. Desta vez Portugal levou a melhor tendo obtido 178 pontos, enquanto que Espanha e Itália se ficaram pelos 151 pontos. A equipa portuguesa contabilizou os pontos de João Carvalho, Nuno Poiarez, Fernando Pimentel, Manuel di Pietro e Maria Ferreira. Para finalizar a competição é de referir que ficaram fechados as Ordens de Mérito do Clube EGA Gross e Net e de Pitch & Putt das quais daremos notícias em próximas edições.
À parte da competição damos nota da elevada qualidade dos campos de golfe, da excelente hotelaria, da gastronomia vasta e diversificada, do espectáculo que foi proporcionado e sobretudo pela forma em que o evento foi enquadrado proporcionando um relacionamento estreito e próximo entre todos.
Parece-nos que o Clube de Golf dos Arquitectos se despede de 2019 com um estimulante prenúncio do que se avizinha para o ano de 2020. Data em que o clube celebra 20 anos de existência.
