CLOSING TOURNAMENT PENINA,NOVEMBER 23TH
The South Circuit Closing Tournament was held on the Sir Henry Cotton course of Penina Resort, bringing together players from 23 clubs in the Lisbon, Alentejo and Algarve regions. The excellent condition of the greens and fairways contributed to the good results.
The Gross winner was Peter Mills with 29 points. In the Net standings, the winner of the last ANSG tournament of the year in the south was Fernando Helder Dias with 43 points, with João Paulo Mourinha second with 43 and Manuel Cândido de Oliveira third with 35. The Ladie’s tournament was won by Ana Rios Oliveira with 37 points, followed by Adelaide Bitti and Maria Madeira Rosario. First in the Senior Master was Mateus Marques with 34 points, and among the guests Michael Ensor won with 32 points. The special prizes went to Josette Renzi and Philippe Blanchard (longest) and João Santos (closest). At the closing ceremony of the Closing Tournament, the awards were presented by Carlos Rocha, President of the Southern Delegation, during the lunch at Sagres do Penina Restaurant. The trophies were also presented to the winners of the 2019 Southern Circuit Ranking. To close was a mega-raffle, which distributed about thirty “gifts” offered by the sponsors. The Southern Circuit 2020 Opening Tournament will take place on January 23rd at the Pinheiros Altos course.
OTorneio de Encerramento do Circuito Sul decorreu no percurso Sir Henry Cotton do Penina Resort, reunindo jogadores de 23 clubes da região de Lisboa, Alentejo e Algarve. As excelentes condições do campo contribuíram para os bons resultados.
O vencedor gross foi Peter Mills com 29 pontos. Na classificação net, o vencedor do último torneio do ano da ANSG no sul, foi Fernando Helder Dias com 43 pontos, ficando João Paulo Mourinha em segundo também com 43 e Manuel Cândido de Oliveira em terceiro com 35. A prova feminina foi ganha por Ana Rios Oliveira com 37 pontos, seguida de Adelaide Bitti e Maria Madeira Rosário. O primeiro nos Master Seniores foi Mateus Marques com 34 pontos, e entre os convidados ganhou Michael Ensor com 32 pontos. Os prémios especiais foram para Josette Renzi e Philippe Blanchard (pancada mais longa) e João Santos (bola mais perto da bandeira). Na cerimónia de entrega dos prémios do Torneio de Encerramento, entregues pelo Presidente da Delegação Sul, Dr. Carlos Rocha, durante o almoço no Restaurante Sagres do Penina, foram também entregues os troféus aos vencedores das diversas categorias do Ranking do Circuito Sul de 2019. A encerrar decorreu uma mega tômbola, que distribuiu cerca de trinta “prendas” oferecidas pelos patrocinadores.
