TASIS Dorado Summer Programs
THE TASIS DORADO Summer Programs will provide your child with a summer to remember by offering high-quality activities in English that are both fun and stimulating. All of our programs make full use of the TASIS Dorado facilities and surrounding areas and are staffed by experienced teachers and staff from our school.
This year, we are delighted to present seven unique summer programs:
Our BEAR TREK and BEAR TREK JR Summer Programs provide children with a winning combination of academics and pure fun. These programs are for students from PPK to Kinder and 1st to 5th grade who wish to strengthen their English language skills in a safe and relaxed environment. Each week has its own theme, including Water Week, Geek Week, Sports Week and Creative Week, Academics and fun are woven into each theme, and weekly field trips are included in the program. Students may enroll for 1 - 5 weeks, with discounts available for siblings and five-week enrollment.
Our MARINE BIOLOGY program is a one-week program for students cu- rrently in grades 3 - 5 and 6 - 8. The program is focused on exploring the organisms of our coastal ecosystems. Students will complete fish counts of the reef, seagrass surveys, and study the biodiversity of our coastal reefs. Students will snorkel and swim, as well as work in the Marine Biology Program Laboratory at the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao Campus.
Students interested in exploring the world of technology and engineering will love our STEAM FAB LAB! Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) FAB LAB programs are one week classes for students currently in 3rd to 5th grades and 6th to 8th grades. Students will be immersed in a world of innovation, technology and design thinking as they put their creativity to work. They will invent and design their own creations in our brand new, fabulous state-of-the-art Fab Lab, using cutting edge technology such as 3D scanning and printing, as well as other tools used in the “maker” world.
For the ambitious and adventurous student ages 12 - 18, TASIS Dorado offers a three-week program which will immerse your student in one of two tracks. Students can choose from MARINE LIFE AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES or SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. These programs, offered from June 26 - July 15, attract students from Puerto Rico and around the world, creating a dynamic international community of learners. The programs make full use of the TASIS Dorado campus and facilities as well as the Dorado Beach Club, home to Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment.
In addition to our local offerings, TASIS has summer programs available at our sites in England, France, and Switzerland.
