QC’s ‘Khairuna Li-Ahlina’ to help support projects within Qatar
Qatar Charity (QC) has launched the Khairuna LiAhlina initiative to garner support for its projects within Qatar in the areas of social welfare, healthcare, education, economic empowerment and water.
The initiative, at its first stage, aims to raise donations worth QR6mn annually to provide aid to more than 2,000 people each year, QC has said in a statement.
The initiative highlights that the good deeds of the Qatari people reach all who live in the country, and at the same time, reach dozens of other countries around the world.
The initiative includes eight main projects, which are treating patients, helping low-income families, providing support for their children’s education, providing water (Soqya), helping workers, repaying the debts for those in debt, consoling those in grief and ongoing charity.
The initiative provides an opportunity for good doers and benefactors to contribute to supporting its projects implemented by making a direct donation or a monthly deduction.
They can subscribe to the monthly deduction service through Qatar Charity’s headquarters, branches or collection points in the malls and markets, through its website, www.qcharity.org/qatar, or through its app (qch.qa/app) available on Apple or Android.
People can also donate through the donation boxes available in the commercial complexes and collection sites, or by subscribing to a monthly transfer or monthly deduction from the donor account in favour of Qatar Charity’s account at QIIB.
In-kind donations can also be made in favour of the initiative.
The monthly deduction service is also available by sending an SMS with code Q100, Q200, and Q500 to 92060 to deduct QR100 per month, QR200 per month and QR500 per month, respectively.
The Patient’s Treatment Project provides the necessary treatment costs for those in need, while the Assistance to Families with Low Incomes Project includes the provision of monthly expenses to improve living conditions of these families, especially families of widows and divorcees.
However, the Student Education Project contributes to the payment of tuition fees for school and university students in addition to providing them with educational supplies.
The Troubles Removing Project contributes to helping debtors repay their debts.
However, another project contributes to giving money to the needy families, the sick and the debtors.
The ‘Soqya’ project provides water coolers and distributes water bottles to the needy in different parts of the country.
The Worker Assistance Project is concerned with providing basic food and clothes for workers, in addition to raising their awareness through various campaigns and activities.
The last project has been devoted to ongoing charity, which is beneficial for a variety of projects.
The initiative has set December 18, which is Qatar National Day, as the date to announce its harvest through detailed reports, which are sent to all donors and include the number of beneficiaries, projects and programmes implemented during this period.
