QC’s ‘Khairuna Li-Ah­lina’ to help sup­port pro­jects within Qatar

Qatar Char­ity (QC) has launched the Khairuna LiAh­lina ini­tia­tive to gar­ner sup­port for its pro­jects within Qatar in the ar­eas of so­cial wel­fare, health­care, ed­u­ca­tion, eco­nomic em­pow­er­ment and wa­ter.

The ini­tia­tive, at its first stage, aims to raise do­na­tions worth QR6mn an­nu­ally to pro­vide aid to more than 2,000 peo­ple each year, QC has said in a state­ment.

The ini­tia­tive high­lights that the good deeds of the Qatari peo­ple reach all who live in the coun­try, and at the same time, reach dozens of other coun­tries around the world.

The ini­tia­tive in­cludes eight main pro­jects, which are treat­ing pa­tients, help­ing low-in­come fam­i­lies, pro­vid­ing sup­port for their chil­dren’s ed­u­ca­tion, pro­vid­ing wa­ter (So­qya), help­ing work­ers, re­pay­ing the debts for those in debt, con­sol­ing those in grief and on­go­ing char­ity.

The ini­tia­tive pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity for good do­ers and bene­fac­tors to con­trib­ute to sup­port­ing its pro­jects im­ple­mented by mak­ing a direct do­na­tion or a monthly de­duc­tion.

They can sub­scribe to the monthly de­duc­tion ser­vice through Qatar Char­ity’s head­quar­ters, branches or col­lec­tion points in the malls and mar­kets, through its web­site, www.qchar­ity.org/qatar, or through its app (qch.qa/app) avail­able on Ap­ple or An­droid.

Peo­ple can also do­nate through the do­na­tion boxes avail­able in the com­mer­cial com­plexes and col­lec­tion sites, or by sub­scrib­ing to a monthly trans­fer or monthly de­duc­tion from the donor ac­count in favour of Qatar Char­ity’s ac­count at QIIB.

In-kind do­na­tions can also be made in favour of the ini­tia­tive.

The monthly de­duc­tion ser­vice is also avail­able by send­ing an SMS with code Q100, Q200, and Q500 to 92060 to deduct QR100 per month, QR200 per month and QR500 per month, re­spec­tively.

The Pa­tient’s Treat­ment Project pro­vides the nec­es­sary treat­ment costs for those in need, while the As­sis­tance to Fam­i­lies with Low In­comes Project in­cludes the pro­vi­sion of monthly ex­penses to im­prove liv­ing con­di­tions of these fam­i­lies, es­pe­cially fam­i­lies of wid­ows and divorcees.

How­ever, the Stu­dent Ed­u­ca­tion Project con­trib­utes to the pay­ment of tu­ition fees for school and univer­sity stu­dents in ad­di­tion to pro­vid­ing them with ed­u­ca­tional sup­plies.

The Trou­bles Re­mov­ing Project con­trib­utes to help­ing debtors re­pay their debts.

How­ever, an­other project con­trib­utes to giv­ing money to the needy fam­i­lies, the sick and the debtors.

The ‘So­qya’ project pro­vides wa­ter cool­ers and dis­trib­utes wa­ter bot­tles to the needy in dif­fer­ent parts of the coun­try.

The Worker As­sis­tance Project is con­cerned with pro­vid­ing ba­sic food and clothes for work­ers, in ad­di­tion to rais­ing their aware­ness through var­i­ous cam­paigns and ac­tiv­i­ties.

The last project has been de­voted to on­go­ing char­ity, which is ben­e­fi­cial for a va­ri­ety of pro­jects.

The ini­tia­tive has set De­cem­ber 18, which is Qatar Na­tional Day, as the date to an­nounce its har­vest through de­tailed re­ports, which are sent to all donors and in­clude the num­ber of ben­e­fi­cia­ries, pro­jects and pro­grammes im­ple­mented dur­ing this pe­riod.
