Safari ‘Green’ promotion starts today

The Go Green, Grow Green promotion kicks off today at Safari, the hypermarke­t chain has announced.

In a statement, Safari said it “has always been in the spotlight for bringing different kind of promotions”.

Safari is holding the promotion for its customers with the idea of “returning to nature and growing with nature”.

“The Go Green, Grow Green promotion, which was organised for the first time last year at Safari, received an overwhelmi­ng public support. Therefore, this time Safari has introduced this promotion in a more comprehens­ive way,” the statement noted.

Safari offers its customers a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and ornamental plant seeds. Seedlings of various varieties of vegetables and fruits, including oranges, lemons, papayas, coriander, mint and curry leaves, as well as ornamental plants such as asparagus, anthurium, bonsai plant, cactus, bamboo sticks and many more are available in the promotion.

Customers can also find in the promotion garden pots, grow bags, watering cans, garden benches, grass mats, garden hoses, various garden tools and fertiliser­s.

Shaheen Backer, chief coordinato­r of Safari Group, said: “Our goal for this Go Green, Grow Green promotion is to promote the concept of organic farming and inspire to live in harmony with nature, besides bringing seeds, vegetables and tree saplings to the people at the lowest possible price.”

This promotion will be available at all Safari outlets from today.

Yousuf Khalid al-Khulaifi, director of the Agricultur­al Affairs Department, Ministry of Municipali­ty and Environmen­t, will inaugurate the event at Safari Mall – Abu Hamour at 5pm today. The ceremony will be held by adhering to the government’s social distancing norms.
