ABA unit ties up with Midea Appliances
Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Holding’s Prime Distribution Trading Company (PDTC) has announced its new partnership with Midea Home Appliances, described as one of the world’s largest brands in the segment.
A market leader in Qatar, PDTC’s strategic tie-up with Midea Home Appliances will offer more options to consumers in Qatar, according to a statement.
Home appliances from Midea will now be available at all major retailers in the country.
“Midea has over 30 production centres worldwide, is present across over 200 countries, and carries over 50 product design awards,” said Siddharth Saxena, sales director - MEA Region.
“Over the past few years, Midea’s growth in the Middle East region has doubled. The reason is that we, at Midea, are putting ourselves in consumers’ shoes, identifying what are the solutions that people are looking in home appliances in this region.
“Based on those observations, we can deliver up-to-date, durable, and wallet-friendly appliances for every home. We are happy for our collaboration with Prime Distribution with Midea’s strategy to offer better services to local consumers in Qatar,” Saxena added.

Midea’s 2020 line-up covers a complete range of home appliances. These include a 12-place setting dishwasher with six washing programmes, including Intensive, ECO and Rapid wash; side-by-side refrigerator with A+ energy efficiency and 10-year warranty on inverter compressor; full-safety 5 gas burner cooking range with SABAF and closed grille option; and A++ energy efficiency frontload washing machine with 15 minutes quick cycle wash.
The line-up also encompasses a range of chest freezers, water dispensers, microwave ovens, kettles, blenders, juicers, multi-cookers, meat grinders, vacuum cleaners and fans.
