Security forces kill four terror suspects
Security forces shot dead four suspected terrorists during an operation in Awaran district of Baluchistan, said a statement issued yesterday by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR statement, security forces personnel conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Awaran, and on confirmation of the presence of the terror suspects in central Makran range, they took the action.
The security forces during their operation destroyed the suspects’ hideout, and seized a large cache of arms, ammunition and communication equipment.
The security forces in their anti-terror campaign had recently destroyed multiple hideouts and administrative camps of terrorists.
On July 25, security forces had averted a major terrorist attack in the province.
The Frontier Corps Baluchistan conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on suspected terrorist hideout in the Buleda area of Baluchistan’s Turbat district.
During the operation, a key member of the proscribed organisation Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA) was killed.
In May this year, seven soldiers were killed and many injured in two terrorist attacks in Baluchistan.
Six soldiers were killed when their patrol vehicle hit a roadside bomb in Baluchistan’s Machh town.
The improvised explosive device (IED) in Pir Ghaib area of Machh detonated on a Frontier Corps vehicle returning to base camp after routine patrol duty, leaving six personnel dead.
The dead included a junior commissioned officer (JCO) and a civilian driver.
