Ooredoo announces eGaming tournament

Ooredoo, a leader in 5G and innovation, has announced the launch of the first eGaming tournament that forms part of its eSports brand, Ooredoo Nation – Gamers’ Land, a statement said. Ooredoo Nation – Gamers’ Land is a joint initiative with eSports leaders Quest.

The brand is a fraternity which is beyond geographic­al boundaries; a community of gamers that grows faster by the minute, inventing, innovating, creating, evolving and raising the game. Ooredoo Nation dares gamers to find one sport it does not play.

The first tournament to be held as part of the Ooredoo Nation: Gamers’ Land initiative is CS:GO, and is the first eGaming tournament in the region to be initiated by a telecommun­ication company. For gamers, the launch will offer prizes of up to QR70,000 and also the chance to secure a contract with the Ooredoo profession­al eSports team, which will represent Ooredoo and Qatar in regional and global eSports events.
