Cityscape 2021 expo opens at DECC today

The event, which will run until Oct 19, brings together leaders from Qatar’s top real estate developers and government entities

The ninth edition of Cityscape Qatar opens today (October 17) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), gathering over 30 exhibitors and the participat­ion of more than 30 speakers from leading local and regional real estate experts.

Slated to run until October 19, the event is being held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani and will bring together leaders from Qatar’s top real estate developers and government entities.

Visitors can expect exclusive access to highly-anticipate­d project launches from across the country, including state-of- the- art residentia­l developmen­ts and luxury hospitalit­y projects.

Exhibitors taking part in the threeday show include Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, Qetaifan Projects, Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty, and Barwa Group.

Whilst visitors will be able to meet developers in-person at the show, real estate enthusiast­s can also expect over 20 hours of talks during Cityscape Qatar’s Conference, taking place throughout the event.

The conference will open with a keynote address from government entities ahead of a high-powered agenda of industry leaders’ talks covering, sustainabi­lity, market forecasts, architectu­re, and tourism.

Speakers include Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, head of Business Developmen­t, Qetaifan Projects; Johnny Archer, head of Consultanc­y and Research, Cushman and Wakefield; Anurag Gupta, director at KPMG; Samvit Kanoria, partner, McKinsey & Company; Ibrahim M Jaidah, Group CEO and chief architect, Arab Engineerin­g Bureau, the man behind the design of the Al Thumama Stadium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup; and Dr Alexandre Amato, head of Sustainabi­lity at Qatar Green Building Council, among others
