299 more mosques to re­open on July 1

THE Min­istry of Awqaf and Is­lamic Af­fairs will re­open 299 more mosques un­der sec­ond phase of grad­ual lift­ing of COVID-19 re­stric­tions from July 1. “Fol­low­ing the pro­ce­dures of sec­ond phase for re­open­ing mosques start­ing from Fajr prayer of Wed­nes­day (July 1, 2020), we would like to an­nounce the ad­di­tional mosques to the list which was an­nounced pre­vi­ously (phase 1),” the min­istry said in a tweet. The list of mosques to be re­opened is pub­lished on min­istry’s web­site. The mosques will be al­lowed for prayers fol­low­ing the same pre­ven­tive and pre­cau­tion­ary mea­sures which are in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.
