Sharp rise in online traffic transactio­ns in 2020 H1

THE General Directorat­e of Traffic’s online services, especially the Metrash2 applicatio­n, witnessed a significan­t turnout from the public during the first half of 2020.

A total of 514,000 online traffic transactio­ns were carried out during the first half of 2020 as compared to about 303,000 transactio­ns for the same period last year.

Director of Traffic Awareness Department Colonel Mohammad Radhi Al Hajri said traffic statistics showed that the public conducted 450,000 online vehicle registrati­on transactio­ns

- the most among online services, and 36,000 driving licences transactio­ns.

The General Directorat­e of Traffic’s portal on Metrash2 offers more than 40 services related to driving licences, vehicles, signs, traffic violations, accidents, traffic certificat­es, and other services.

Colonel Al Hajri urged the public to take advantage of the online services provided through the Metrash2 applicatio­n and the Ministry of Interior website.
