Galfar Toastmasters Club elects executive committee for 2020-21

THE Galfar Toastmasters Club recently held a meeting to elect its new executive committee for the year 2020-21. TM Subramanya Hebbagelu was elected the president of the executive committee. The new team comprises both seasoned and new toastmasters.

Galfar Toastmasters Club is a corporate club of Qatar’s leading engineering and construction firm Galfar Al Misnad. The club was formed in 2009 to enhance communication and leadership skills of the employees.

Since its inception in 2009, more than 150 staff members have benefitted from the club’s programmes. Galfar Toastmasters Club is considered to be one of the best corporate clubs in Qatar.

The event was attended by a number of Galfar Al Misnad employees. The Executive Director of Galfar Al Misnad Satish G Pillai delivered the keynote speech on the occasion, in which he appreciated the improvements being witnessed in employees’ communication skills over the years.

Sessions on leadership and communication were also conducted on the sidelines of the event by District 116 Public Relations Manager TM Venkatesan and Champion Speaker TM John Henry respectively.

Prominent among those whom attended the event were Division A Director DTM Subair Pandavath and Area 03 Director TM Sonia Jadav, who urged the newly-elected office bearers of the executive committee to take the club to even greater heights in the new term.
