QA’s Dream­liner ‘draws’ a pink rib­bon in sky

A Qatar Air­ways flight op­er­ated by an all-women crew took off from Doha on Satur­day to raise aware­ness about breast can­cer by draw­ing some­thing spe­cial in the sky.

In sup­port of Breast Can­cer Aware­ness Month, Qatar Air­ways’ 787 Dream­liner drew the iconic pink rib­bon in the sky with its flight path, which was seen on real-time air traf­fic tracker Flight Radar.

The ‘Think Pink’ flight QR9901 took off at 9:17 am and landed back in Doha af­ter 13 min­utes. The all-fe­male crew in­cluded pi­lots, cabin crew, ATC con­troller, engi­neers, dis­patch­ers and pas­sen­gers.

“The @Boe­ingAir­planes 787 Dream­liner has been in­stru­men­tal to re­build­ing our net­work, and we’re us­ing this air­craft for to­day’ s# Think Pink flight to sup­port# Breast Can­cer Aware­ness Month ,” Qatar Air­ways said in a tweet.

Pink’ on­board menu, which will be avail­able on se­lect Qatar Air­ways flights through­out Oc­to­ber.
