Bangladesh MHM School & College hosts reception for ambassador
BANGLADESH MHM School and College, Doha, hosted a reception recently for Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Md Jashim Uddin. The ambassador was received on arrival at school by Director Lt Cdr Md Anwar Khurshid (retd), Principal Md Jashim Uddin and vice principal, along with the other staff.
The ambassador inaugurated a photo gallery on the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and walked around the school campus and the classroom areas. He was overwhelmed by the discipline at the school. He is the new chairman of the Governing Body of the school.
On this occasion the newly recruited teachers, house masters of different houses and school heads expressed their views and talked about the activities held throughout the year among the students in the aspect of academic and extracurricular activities.
The principal told the ambassador the overall academic activities and board exam performance of the students and related matters.
The Director Lt Cdr Md Anwar Khurshid in his speech talked about the objectives of the institution and how the institution tackled the the administrative and other challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic.
The challenges were addressed with the help of the Bangladesh Embassy, governing body and community leaders.
The ambassador in his speech expressed his satisfaction with the arrangement of the programme, as well as the performance of the school children. He also mentioned the contribution of the founder, donors and community leaders.
The ambassador highlighted the contribution of the faculties towards effective teaching and urged teachers to teach the lessons in a manner so that students can educate themselves with full of knowledge and ethics.
He also emphasised on the need for developing extra-curricular activities and holding regular competitions for students at the school to hone their creative talents. The ambassador expressed his commitment to offer all support in building of an auditorium, swimming pool and indoor sports facilities at the school.
