Ooredoo rolls out new Nokia device to ensure optimal home WiFi delivery

QATAR’S Supernet pioneer Ooredoo is now making available the Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway to all customers. This customer-premises equipment (CPE) device is designed to bring the best quality WiFi signal to all corners of the home.

To make life easier for the consumer, the Gateway is sold with a unique visual aid to help with the initial installati­on and create optimal conditions for total 5G all throughout a place of residence. As a plug-and-play solution, the Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway is simple to install.

A powerful piece of CPE, it maximises spectral assets and uses the industry’s highest gain (11 dBi) antenna to deliver up to twice the indoor coverage, three times the downlink capacity and five times the uplink capacity than that of traditiona­l CPE designs.

Other features of this fully self-contained, fullfeatur­ed indoor residentia­l gateway include a 5G New Radio WAN connection with 11 dBi high gain antenna 4G WAN carrier aggregatio­n across supported 4G/5G bands a 1 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) WAN a 3 GigE LAN and a Wi-Fi (3x3 802.11b/g/n, 4x4 802.11ac MU-MIMO) LAN.

Taken together, this should lead to optimal 5G performanc­e within any home.
