THE Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza has begun the process for supplying liquid oxygen necessary for coronavirus patients in the European Hospital in Gaza.
Chairman of Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi said the committee will start within days the process of supplying and equipping the liquid oxygen tank at the European Gaza Hospital, which has been classified as an epidemiology hospital since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Gaza Strip.
He said the quantities to be supplied would suffice the hospital’s need for two weeks at a cost of $55,000.
He said this grant comes in response to the appeals of the Ministry of Health in Gaza about the seriousness of the lack of oxygen in hospitals in the Gaza Strip, due to the increasing cases of serious and critical infections with the coronavirus, most of which are in the European Gaza Hospital.
