Huawei launches ultralight MateBook D 14 for an all-scenario experience

Designed for young consumers, the latest 14-inch Huawei laptop introduces a revolutionary cross-platform experience that allows users to seamlessly work with multiple devices through a single pane of glass. On top of its lightweight chassis, Huawei FullView Display, powerful performance, robust build quality and chic design, the latest laptop comes with a range of new features including support for Multi-screen Collaboration. Equipped with a full array of smart capabilities, the MateBook D 14 stands as a powerful companion to today’s tech-savvy youth.

In line with the rest of the MateBook family, the MateBook D 14 comes with a Huawei FullView Display. Measuring at just 4. mm thin, three ultra-thin bezels frame the display, resulting in an outstanding 4 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The lightweight chassis is accentuated by a streamlined design with curved edges to produce a sleeker look. The MateBook D 14 is one of the smallest and lightest 14-inch laptops in the same price band to date, offering a wide viewing experience in a portable package.
The latest MateBook D 14 introduces a multi-screen collaboration features. This enables the MateBook and a Huawei smartphone to share a single display, in which users can drag files from one user interface to the other to transfer files, and view the contents saved in the smartphone directly on the laptop. Thanks to this feature, users can seamlessly enjoy all their favourite apps on the MateBook D 14 as well as freely drag and drop files to transfer them between devices. To facilitate productivity, Huawei devices and MateBooks also support Clipboard Sharing for copying text, allowing users to simply copy or drag text from one device to another.
MateBook D 14 is powered by 10th generation Intel Core i5-10210U processor , which accelerates and enhances performance. Fitted with a PCIe SSD, and packing up to GB in dual-channel architecture DDR4 RAM, its read and write speeds are blisteringly fast. With NVIDIA GeForce M 250 graphics, it empowers you to master daily work or enjoy entertainment with no effort. Equipped with GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, the MateBook D 14 has enough memory to handle most high load apps on the market. The solid-state drive (SSD) in the new MateBook D 14 is connected to the mainboard via the high speed PCIe interface.
The laptop excels at cooling and battery life. For cooling, it includes a new version of the Shark Fin Fan. With the new s-shaped fan blades, Shark Fin Fan 2.0 optimises air ow dynamically for improved cooling and laptop performance. In terms of battery life, a 56Wh (Rating value) high capacity battery supports up to 9.5 hours of continuous local 10 0p video playback on a single charge. A portable, multi-purpose 65W USB-C charger and a USB-C to USB-C cable is included with the MateBook D 14. It is also equipped with a fingerprint scanner that is integrated into the power button, so that users can power on their device while simultaneously having their identity authenticated.
Huawei has also removed the webcam from the bezels and integrated it into the keyboard, which only pops up when needed. This recessed camera helps in further cutting down bezel size and even provides better privacy. To top it off, the display panel on the MateBook D 14 has also been T V Rheinland certified for low blue light emission. This ensures harmful blue light is effectively filtered out, protecting users’ eyes from harmful radiation and allowing for better eye protection.
Positioned as a laptop targeting young consumers, the MateBook D 14 offers a quality user experience in a compact form factor.
